Laboratory Corporation! Again, for I know. Ready to share new things that are useful. You and your friends.What I'm about to share with you in this report is a principle that has stood the test of time, one that has been used by the greatest men both of the past and the present. I call it the Mad principle. The word Mad' is an acronym for manufacture A Difference'. It has no negative or healing connotation whatsoever. It simply means to be manufacture a disagreement - significant. The principle states that until you are different (unique) you will never be spotted (employed) and until you are manufacture a disagreement (useful) you cannot get up there (promoted). In other words, what guarantees that you will get the job you want is directly connected to your being different and what will warrant your promotion is your quality to be manufacture a difference. These two qualities; being different (unique) and manufacture a disagreement (useful) are what every manager out there wants in any employee. In line with this article, this means that; firstly, in anyone you do either as a pro or worker you have to strive to be the best (different), secondly, anyone you do has to be meaningful and useful to others (making a difference).
What I said. It is not outcome that the true about Laboratory Corporation. You check out this article for information about anyone need to know is Laboratory Corporation.How is How To Get The Job You Want And Grow To The Top
I dedicated my time to the study of great multi billion dollar organizations in the past one year, organizations I'm sure most of you would desire to work for. While the policy of my study; one thing could be said of them all - they all know why' they exist. Organizations like Microsoft, who out of the desire to make work easier for citizen brought about a global change in the processing and delivery of information and communication. Yahoo! Inc whose desire to help other citizen get passage to information speedily has become the world's largest email victualer with over two hundred and forty million registered users. Ford Motor Corporation, whose sole desire to manufacture cars that would be affordable by all American families is one of the greatest organizations in history. The desire to make a difference, other than manufacture them different, also made them great as well. I could continue with the list and I can assure you of one thing, they clearly stand out from the crowd. Why? Because, they all share and live by a common principle -the Mad principle'. Straight through the application of this universal principle, they have succeeded in building for themselves organizations that are different and are consistently manufacture a disagreement Straight through the goods produced and services delivered.
This habit of adding value to others, seeking first for what to give before receiving, either in life or in business is what I refer to as being Mad' which means manufacture A Difference'. Bill Gates, didn't find wealth and fame by producing software programs for himself, he became rich by producing what others needed. It wasn't about himself, what he wanted or needed, it was all about others. Henry Ford was so wealthy and became a great industrialist not because he sought after what he needed, but because he wanted a good life for all Americans; that every family should own a car. In the same manner, every worker must come to understand that not everybody gets the job just because they can do the work or want to work. Only those who want to be Mad get the job they want and grow to the top. If the desire to be Mad - manufacture a disagreement is what brings an club into existence, I see no infer why your attitude should be any different from this. The associates you wish to work for are still in business just because they are applying the Mad principle, what makes you think they would want to hire you if you aren't like them - Mad?
Now let me share with you a story of a young man who not only got the job he wanted but also grew to the top.
A young man by the name of Edwin C. Barnes, was seeing for a job, his case is so unique in that he was Mad! Unlike many citizen out there, he was so different and obviously was out to make a difference. Limited wonder he got the job he wanted. Edwin C. Barnes had a definite purpose; he wanted to work with Thomas A. Edison, one of the greatest inventors of our world. I want you to take note of this very seriously; Edwin wanted to work "with" Thomas Edison and not "for" him. First, he didn't say he just wanted to work anywhere, No! He had a definite club in mind. Secondly, he didn't desire to work for anybody, he desired to work with Thomas A. Edison. Now here is the rest of the story as narrated by Napoleon Hill from his first-rate Think and Grow Rich.
He presented himself at Mr. Edison's laboratory, and announced he had come to go into business with the inventor. (Take note of the key words "into" and "with"). In speaking of the first meeting between Barnes and Edison, years later, Mr. Edison recounted;
"He stood there before me, seeing like an ordinary tramp, but there was something in the expression of his face which conveyed the impression that he was carefully to get what he had come after. I had learned, from years of caress with men, that when a man surely desires a thing so deeply that he is willing to stake his entire time to come on a singular turn of wheel in order to get it, he's sure to win. I gave him the opportunity he asked for, because I saw he had made up his mind to stand by until he succeeded".
Just reading Straight through this once won't give you the proper perspective of the lessons in this story. So I am going to indulge you to read it once again and note carefully the words I highlighted in bold letters. I have only asked you to re-read the words of Mr. Edison again so that you can clearly see the disagreement why some citizen get the job they want and why others don't! I am going to take the pain of explaining those words one after the other so that you can personally conclude within you, either this statement is surely true; "to be victorious in any chosen field or endeavour in life, you have to be different and be manufacture a disagreement - Mad!"
Mr. Edison within a few minutes of interviewing young Edwin came to the conclusion that he was seeing like an ordinary tramp! Two things must be deduced from that statement; the first is that within the first 10 15 minutes in the proximity of your employer, he already knows who you are. They know who they want, it doesn't take them time to tell if you are the one or not. Remember, they are seeing for person who is different and wants to make a difference. It's not just sufficient to be different, you have to be ready to be manufacture a difference, and it must show! So many things are responsible for this, ranging from the way you are dressed, the way you talk, comport yourself - are you bold or shy when answering the questions when being interviewed? The second truth is that; it doesn't matter either you're an ordinary tramp or a sophisticated one, as long as the job you seek is in line with who you are as a person (your values) and you know why you are there (your purpose) and also know what you want to perform (your vision) this is what makes all the difference!
He continued by saying there was something in the expression of his face. This shows that employers read your facial expressions and not just your total appearance. It also means that even if by any opportunity you happen to look rough in your appearance, which shouldn't be tolerated anyway; there is still a possibility that your facial expression can speak good for you than your appearance did. Like it has been proven by young Edwin, who was carefully at first as an ordinary tramp, but carried the expression of person who knew exactly what he wanted. What you put on doesn't settle who and what you are; it's your character which is a reflection of your core values that make up who and what you are. And guess what? This can be seen by everybody within the first 10 15 minutes of meeting you. Limited wonder they say "actions speak louder than words". This is because your actions are your values in motion! Before you pick your pen to fill an application, ask yourself these questions I'm I ready for this job? To be ready as you have seen and will later comprehend in detail takes more than just having the right qualifications. As an employee, you are more like a sales person, and no sales person closes the deal just because he/she has a master's degree in sales or can write a good sales presentations. It takes more than that; you've got to make it show beyond written words. You are going to make a difference, to add value to the organization; you've got to leave an impression. Psychologists have rightly said, "When one is truly ready for a thing, it shows in its appearance."
He was determined. It's one thing to start a business; it's another to stay in business. If there is a thing employers need most, its determination. They are very much aware that business can get rough and it's full of ups and downs, and the only thing that keeps them going in times like that is determination. In other words, without determination they would never have been where they are in business. This shows that, employers look for carefully citizen to work with, because it takes determination to keep the business going. No one would give a job to person who doesn't have a "whatever it takes" attitude to work.
Mr. Edison saw his desires. It wasn't as if young Edwin was forced to come or enticed to come for the job, he desired it. It was his choice. I did say before, unemployment might be a normal flaw, but being unemployed is your own fault, a choice you alone make. In the game of getting what you want, desire is the first lesson. Desire is believing you can gather that which you want. In getting your dream job, desire is a must. Employers don't take just anyone; they take citizen with a burning desire to work for them. You also, mustn't go for every interview you see out there, go for the one you desire.
Mr. Edison confirmed that young Edwin's were so deeply seated in him. It's not sufficient that you desire to work for an organization; your desires must be so deeply embedded in you. A deep desire is your passion. Employers are not as much as concerned with citizen who are very skilled as they are with citizen who are passionate about their work. Passion is what drives the job, skills is how to get it done. Skills can be taught, but passion can't. You must be passionately skilled. This is because;
Passion - Skills = foolishness
Skills - Passion = frustration
Passion + Skills = excellence.
You can only be sure to win when your desire for the job is very much embedded in you and you are ready to stake anyone you've got and ready to stand by until the job is yours. In other words, you have to be Mad - (different and manufacture a difference). You have to get over to the manager as some one who is unique and useful (significant). This is the rule of thumb to getting the job you want and growing to the top. This is what it means to be Mad -unique (different ) and useful (making a difference!).
